A very classical Christmas comes to the Municipal Theatre in Napier. Join the Hawke's Bay Orchestra, PPV Junior, and special guests in an afternoon of sing-along Christmas favourites, some new festive tunes and a whole lot of musical fun.

HBO presents Beethoven, Schoenberg, and Vaughan Williams
Beethoven’s Symphony No.4 in B-flat major Op.60 is joined by Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony No.2 Op 38 and ‘The Lark Ascending’ by Vaughan Williams and featuring violinist Yanghe Yu.
Beethoven’s fourth Symphony is possibly the least-known and least-performed of his Symphonies, so prepared to be delighted - it’s a masterpiece.

Mozart Requiem
Surrounded by mystery, Mozart’s Requiem and Don Giovanni have been linked by their dramatic power. In collaboration with the Napier Civic Choir, the HBO accompanies the choir for Don Giovanni excerpts and Mozart’s Requiem.
EDUCATE - Meeanee School
The HBO goes into Irongate school to host an educational concert of Peter and the Wolf. We will also be working with their string students, and students of Or-ches-trate!
Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival - HBO & Friends
The HBO is joined by ‘friends’ from around the country to present three landmark compositions for larger chamber ensembles – Strauss’ Capriccio for string sextet, Pärt’s Tabula Rasa for strings and prepared piano, and Mendelssohn Octet.
